Robert recently gave a talk at the international Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography conference in Hawaii. He presented one of his dissertation chapters from his recently conducted field work in Little Cayman. His results show that rates of metabolic carbon capture in seagrass meadows are lower in areas grazed by green turtles than areas that are not grazed, but that grazing does not release carbon already stored in meadows as was previously thought.
